Depending on the date you’re buying this book, Coronavirus could be a thing of the past and everything is relatively well in your world. Customers are happy to be back, in full swing, visiting your restaurant, pub, takeaway or coffee shop without any concerns for their health, not a face mask to be seen, money flowing out of people’s pockets and straight into yours with full abandon. Online technology, mobile phone usage, marketing your business like you used to pre Covid-19, has automatically kicked in and it’s like nothing has changed at all. It was all a horrible bad dream that felt like at times it was a never ending, continuing economic and emotional nightmare for many businesses in the food and hospitality sector. And yet, sorry to wake you but Covid-19 did happen, and it’s resulting economic impact and ramifications are probably in place in some way, shape or form as you read this book. A second or third wave on the horizon? Who knows. We’ve got to wait and see.
